Vital For Life is the next step in an evolution for health care provider and owner, Darlene King.

Darlene graduated from the Royal Jubilee Hospital School of Registered Nursing and UVIC in the mid 1980’s. She then went on to specialize in Obstetrics and enjoyed an 18 year career working in varied areas of hospital nursing. Some of which are obstetrics, gynecology, oncology, orthopedics, dermatology and geriatrics. When Darlene retired from hospital nursing, she had a desire to continue to utilize her medical background and became a certified laser photo-therapist in order to offer treatments for those who wanted to improve their skin and body health and appearance. She started her laser clinic “SKinTEGRITY CosMedical Laser Skin and Body Solutions” in 2011. As SKinTEGRITY grew over the past 6 years far beyond what she had anticipated, Darlene listened to the experiences of her hundreds of patients, many of whom were struggling with health issues that had the potential to be helped by naturopathic remedies as opposed to prescription drugs. The compartmentalization of traditional medicine was a concern to her as was the increasing reliance on pharmaceutical and prescription intervention for processes that could perhaps benefit from a natural approach.

She began using one of her aesthetic devices that included PEMF energy for tissue, bone, and wound healing, and found the results to be astounding. Darlene then collaborated with long-time colleague and friend, Eika Jordon whose therapeutic services include holistic and constitutional remedies for hundreds of disease processes. After training with Eike and researching for years the products that were proven effective as well as FDA and Health Canada approved, Darlene embarked on adding to her advanced medical aesthetics clinic, a wellness division that would address the body in a holistic and all-encompassing way. The result of this journey is "Vital For Life"

In addition to her medical background, Darlene is also a World Technical Director for the IBTF and the WFNBTA – these are the world governing bodies for Artistic Baton Sport, a sport that, with its extensive use of dance and gymnastics while manipulating and throwing a long shaft of spinning metal into the air and catching it, produces many injuries to bones, soft tissue as well as skin. Darlene has coached numerous National and World champions and also been responsible to keep their minds and bodies in top physical condition.

The cornerstone of Darlene’s practice philosophy is to insure that each patient is treated as a unique being and that each treatment program is specifically tailored to that person’s individualized needs. The staff and support team at Vital For Life are highly trained and certified care providers which include nurses, homeopathic practitioners, Naturopaths as well as PHD doctors who all share the same vision.
